JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A small city park in Jamestown could see some much needed improvements as a group of agencies and city residents have begun working on renovations.
The Lillian Dickson Park Project has already created a design plan and needs to raise $30,000 to $40,000. They hope the community will get involved and take ownership of the park.
"It's a sense of pride, it's a sense of belonging, you know, this is our neighborhood, this is our park. And this is something that we want the neighbors and the residents to join us in helping get this park going again," said David Reinhardt, chairman, Lillian Dickson Park Project.
The group is currently planning the National Night Out neighborhood party at the park on August 7th.
To get involved you can attend their next meeting on July 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the park.
