New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has launched a new website that will allow people to see what elected officials are up to.

New York Open Government is an expansion of the office's Project Sunlight website.

Leaders say the new website is more user-friendly and will allow the public to find Information on campaign contributions, lobbying and state contracts.

Leaders say it is not only easy to navigate but everything is all in one place.

"If you are interested to see how a lobbyist or an interest group is seeking to influence state government. In the past, you had to go to either the Board of Elections website, but this upgrades the existing project to make it even more user friendly. People can go to one website and find the information quickly," Bill Mahoney, NYPIRG.

The original website was launched back in 2007.
