DUNKIRK, N.Y. — Chautauqua County is receiving funding to create a Chautauqua Health Center in Dunkirk. It will be the first federally qualified health center in the county.
Senator Schumer announced the $650,000 grant Wednesday. Schumer says the project has been five years in the making.
The Chautauqua Health Center is expected to provide medical dental and behavioral health services to more than five thousand county residents.
It's scheduled to open in the Graf building on Central Avenue in Dunkirk by October.
