Shooting Victim With WNY Ties Laid to Rest
Remembered as "a gentle bear of a man," a Colorado man with strong ties to Rochester was laid to rest during a private ceremony Friday.
Alex Sullivan was killed one week ago during the mass shooting at a suburban Denver movie theater. It was his 27th birthday.
Sullivan's parents are Rochester natives and dozens of his relatives still live in the area. United Airlines offered Sullivan's family free flights to Colorado for the funeral.
Friday's service was private.
