BUFFALO, N.Y. - It's been known as Buffalo's biggest happy hour.

Friday, there was no shortage of drinks for thousands of beer lovers at this year's Buffalo BrewFest.

More than 100 special craft beers were available on tap inside the First Niagara Center for the event.

Local, national and international breweries were spread out across the two floors of the arena along with food to pair.

Organizers say the ninth annual fundraiser, benefiting the Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center, is vital to the not-for-profit organization.

"Last year, we saw 10,000 children, adults and family members,” said Joe Cozzo, the president & CEO of Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center. “We take a lot of proceeds from this particular event and allocate it to scholarships for our language and literacy program."

Last year, the BrewFest raised more than $50,000 for the foundation. A portion of last year's proceeds helped to build a therapeutic playground at Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center.
