TOWN OF TONAWANDA, N.Y. — The pit bull terrier that was badly injured after he was dragged down the road behind his owner's SUV is now ready for adoption.
The Erie County SPCA has been treating Gotti for more than a month now. SPCA officials said when they first received the two-year-old male pit bull back in October, he had road rash on most of his body and the pads on all four paws were almost completely gone.
Now, with most of his scars healed and pads grown back, Gotti is ready to go to a loving home.
"He's a wonderful dog and it's going to make someone a wonderful pet. He's good with other dogs; he's good with people; he's good with children; he's good with old people. Nice dog. He's just not so good with balls," SPCA’s Executive Director Barbara Carr said with a laugh.
Gotti will be available to adopt on Tuesday. For more information, you can visit their website at yourspca.org.
