Erie County Executive says negotiations with Bills are going well
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz says the negotiations to keep the Bills in Orchard Park are going well.
Poloncarz says Governor Cuomo's administration has been working the phones, as recently as Tuesday night, to help keep the team in Western New York.
The Bills lease at Ralph Wilson Stadium expires in July next year, but Poloncarz is confident a lease agreement is in the future.
“We’re still working on that. The commitment from the governor’s office has been phenomenal with the lieutenant governor and Howard Glaser leading the negotiations. I like the position we’re in," said Poloncarz, (D).
Officials say Ralph Wilson Stadium is in need of more than $200 million in renovations.
