BUFFALO, N.Y. — Beads rained down in the Allentown District on Tuesday during a Mardi Gras parade. Artvoice collaborated with 26 area bars and clubs to organize the motorcade.
Participants continued to celebrate the holiday at those establishments after the parade, which included several activist groups.
Attendees said the parade is a good way to celebrate Mardi Gras in Buffalo.
"It's just one of the best parties, one of the best reasons to come out and party in the world. It's done all over the world so we're just part of that," said Pat Lovetro.
The motorcade traveled from Kleinhans Music Hall through the Chippewa district and back to Allen Street.
