Deputy remembered as police work to identify body in ashes of California cabin
Police have identified the Sheriff's Deputy killed in a shootout with the most wanted man in America Tuesday.

Jeremiah MacKay, 35, was killed after police say he and a fellow deputy encountered ex- LAPD officer Christopher Dorner at a road block at a mountain resort in Big Bear, California.

MacKay is survived by a seven-year-old daughter and four-year-old son.

Police are still working to identify a body found in the charred remains of a cabin in Big Bear, but believe the body is Dorner's.

Meantime, family and fellow police officers gathered for the funeral of LAPD Officer Michael Crain. Police say Crain was shot and killed when he was ambushed by Dorner last week. He was a former Marine who served two tours of duty in Kuwait.

Crain is survived by a wife and two children.

Dorner is also accused of killing two more people with ties to the LAPD as part of what investigators believe were targeted killings.
