BUFFALO, N.Y. — There was a sea of pink from t-shirts to pom poms at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center. It was all part of ECC's annual Coaches versus Cancer Fundraiser.

Both the men's and the women's basketball teams have joined forces to fight against cancer. The doubleheader is the capstone event culminating a year of community service projects students at the college have been participating in.

"We're really proud of our athletes on the field of play but we're also very proud of our athletes when they represent themselves and the college in charity and community service," said Jack Quinn, ECC president.

Both teams donated their game night proceeds along with 50/50 raffles and product sales to the American Cancer Society.
