The 68th annual Gerry Rodeo kicked off Wednesday with the seven points events, but it's the specialty acts that will be remembered.
One of those fan favorites is trick riding, featuring Gena Cox - who specializes in the suicide drag and Statue of Liberty - as she brings her horse back acrobatics to the arena.
Cox enjoys the danger of the show to give an enjoyable rodeo experience for fans of all ages.
"Our number one goal as a specialty act is entertainment. Sometimes when you are competing it may look cool and it may not, but you are worried about winning your prize money. That specialty act that is cool and shows off the skills and talents behind the athletes in the rodeo," said Cox.
