Weather a Factor Again; Stevie Preps for Finnegan
Bills getting ready to host the Rams by practicing outdoors Thursday. The team preparing for the elements, part of a home field advantage, especially against a dome team.
The weather is expected to be pretty much the same as last week when the Bills beat Jacksonville, if not worse. And just like last week, the Bills will be watching the scoreboard to see how teams are fairing in-front of them in the standings, something that didn't go in their favor last week. Still, the Bills need to do their part first.
"You have to, but last week was not a good week in terms of looking up and seeing Cincinnati behind, Indianapolis behind and Pittsburgh behind and all of them pulling out wins," quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick said. "But naturally that is something as a player that you have to do. But for us, none of that matters if we do not win this game."
Stevie Johnson is nursing his sore hamstring this week. The Bills wide receiver says he will be ready to go Sunday. Should be plenty of jawing back and forth between Stevie and St. Louis defensive back Cortland Finnegan.
Perhaps beast known for his skirmish with the Texans Andre Johnson when he played for the Titans, Finnegan likes to get into receivers heads - intimidate them, get in a few extra shots after the whistle, and throw them off their game. It something Johnson does not have a problem with.
"He's a player you know and no one ever said you can't talk trash and if you can get away with the extra stuff after the whistle so be it," Johnson said. "I don't have nothing against it. We've played each other before and I'm ready for whatever he has to bring. I'll never let anyone affect me on the field so I really don't mind it."
