Buffalo State's Jake Simmons became the program's all-time leading scorer Friday against Central Penn in a 101-98 Bengals win.
Simmons, a Rochester native, scored a career-high 43 points, passing former NBA All-Star Randy Smith for the top spot on the Bengals scoring list.
Simmons' career point total is now 1,722. He entered the game needing 33 points to tie Smith's record of 1,712.
The Bengals are now 6-2 after the win.
