Unlike professional all-star games, the NAHL all-prospects tournament is less about having fun and more about showcasing your talent. One third of last year's players earned Division I scholarships with many of those being handed out at this event.

"All of our main goals is to play Division I college hockey and this tournament is one of the best ways to get noticed by a Division I school," said Ironmen forward Tyler Dunagan.

Five Ironmen players will get a chance to impress scouts at the prospects showcase, including Dunagan and fellow forwards Luc Gerdes and Evan Ritt, as well as defensemen Brett Szajner and Dylan Zink. They believe team cohesion will take Jamestown further than just the prospects tournament; they see it lifting them to a successful second half playoff run.

"When things are going good off the ice, it's going to translate to on the ice. We have some good chemistry going right now and we are looking to roll in the second half," said Zink.

The all-prospects tournament takes place February 18th through the 20th in Troy, Michigan.

The Ironmen are back on the ice Friday at Springfield.
