ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills announced Friday that they resigned quarterback Tavaris Jackson.

Jackson was acquired by the Bills last August in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks.

Head coach Doug Marrone said that he's spoken with Jackson and quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and told them the team will have an open competition at the position.
