AMHERST, N.Y. - The Daemen College men's hoops team is preparing for the USCAA Championship Tournament in Uniontown, Pa. The third seeded Wildcats will face The Apprentice School in the national quarterfinals Wednesday at 5 p.m.

With a 25-5 record, Daemen set a new school record for wins in a season in its first year transitioning to Division II. The Wildcats enter the tourney winners of seven straight and 14 of 15.

"It's always tough to win it, you gotta win three games in four days but we're in pretty good shape," head coach Don Silveri said. "We have everybody healthy, we've got a lot of depth this year, so I think that bodes well for us."

"It means a lot to us to set a new record (for wins), especially this being my senior year and all," said forward Jim Regan. "We have a good crew this year, a bunch of hard workers and I think of the four years I've been here this is the hardest team I've played with so far."
