AMHERST, N.Y. — A man wanted in connection with a shooting in Niagara Falls was taken into custody at an Amherst motel Tuesday afternoon.

Police arrested Jacob Taggart at the Boulevard Inn on Niagara Falls Boulevard after receiving a tip that he was staying there.

He was turned over to police in Niagara Falls to face charges of felony assault and reckless endangerment.

A Falls police detective says Taggart was wanted in connection with a shooting from April 25th on 12th and Niagara streets that left one man injured.

Two other arrests have already been made in the case.
