JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — The Chautauqua Country all-star game features the best seniors North and South county has to offer playing one last game in their high school jerseys for that ultimate prize; bragging rights.

The ballplayers couldn't have asked for better weather at a nicer venue, as they took the professional diamond of Diethrick Park.

No score Bottom of the 3rd. Fredonia's Connor Farnham gets the scoring going for the North with a single to left, driving in Silver Creek's Kevin Rocque for the games first run. Part of a four run inning. North up 4-0.

The South storms back in a big way scoring 11 unanswered runs. In the 5th, it was Trojan to Trojan as Southwestern's Jake Swan knocks in Tyler Uber. They would push the lead to 11-4.

That's where it would end up with the South Side prevailing by 7, in a game that was a great final high school baseball experience for both teams.

"It's enjoyable to come out here with all these awesome guys that have been playing all their lives and are at the same level as you are, its amazing." said Pine Valley's Zack Fancher.

"It's huge just going out there one more time playing with all of the guys. Playing with all the guys you don't know and played against, its a lot of fun." said Frewsburg's Thad Johnson.

For some of these guys, it was the last time they will put on their spikes. Others will take their mits and cleats and head to a diamond near you including Fredonia State, JCC, and St. Bonaventure.
