Funeral services set for teen who fell into Buffalo Creek
BUFFALO, N.Y. — A teenage boy who fell into Buffalo Creek in West Seneca has died.

West Seneca West Middle School principal Brian Graham confirmed that 15-year old Mitchell Pearce died early Sunday as a a result of injuries sustained in last week's accident.

Police in West Seneca say the teen was taken to Women's and Children's Hospital last Tuesday night. He had fallen into the creek and traveled about three-quarters of a mile down the waterway.

Graham said the school had a student support services team on hand during final exams this week. Staff and students will be on hand at Pearce's funeral.

Calling hours are Thursday at Hoy Funeral Home. The funeral takes place Friday at Saint David's Episcopal Church.
