BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has a new commander.
In a formal change of command ceremony Thursday at the Connecticut Street Armory, the flag of command was passed to Lieutenant Colonel Owen Beaudoin.
The Buffalo District is responsible for 38,000 square miles from Massena to Toledo Ohio.
“Significant contribution to this organization is my leadership. I have a lot of experts, technical experts in different fields of engineering that know this stuff way better than I do. So I hope to lead them to the successes,” Beaudoin said.
In the coming months, Beaudoin says he'll evaluate how the district is currently operated.
