Tonawanda man arrested for kidnapping
NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. --- A Town of Tonawanda man faces kidnapping charges after police say he abducted a young girl.
David Grover was arrested Saturday after police say he abducted the girl from her home earlier in the day.
North Tonawanda Police say he then took her to an unknown location and sexually assaulted her. According to investigators, Grover and the girl's family know each other.
They are asking anyone who may have seen a man with a young girl between the hours 2:30 and 7:30 in the morning Saturday to call the North Tonawanda Detective Bureau at 692-4312.
Police say they may have also been in a grey Eagle Talon or walking near a wooded area.
Grover is being held in the Niagara County jail without bail.
