GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. -- Erie County Sheriff's Deputies are asking for help in finding the suspect behind several burglaries on Grand Island since May. Investigators said several items have been stolen, including a rare commemorative brass plaque made from the remnants of the U.S.S. Maine.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his early twenties, with dark hair, and well groomed. Erie County Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person behind the burglaries.
