BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Fulbright fellow held a Town Hall Meeting about the East Side Thursday.
Professor Edward Blakely led UB professors in a discussion on how to revitalize the failing East Side economy.
Blakely is known for his work as the Executive Director of Recovery Management in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.
Blakely discussed the need to renovate East Side housing and re-tooling Buffalo's education system and stressed the importance of reducing dependence on state and federal aid to revitalize the area.
