AMHERST, N.Y. — The NHL may still be locked out, but the NHL Sled Hockey Classic is up and running at the Northtown Center in Amherst.
Fourteen teams from around the country affiliated with NHL teams are in town for the tournament.
The national team will come here for training camp in February to train for the World Championships.
Veterans on and off the ice were celebrated before the games begin in honor of Veterans Day weekend.
The tournament is set to wrap up Sunday afternoon.
