Man charged in deadly bike path crash had 2010 arrest in Florida
The man accused of killing two women after driving drunk on his motorcycle had also been arrested for misdemeanor driving under the influence two years ago in Florida.
According to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office, David Allen Smith was booked March 4th, 2010. Court records from Florida state the case was dismissed.
Amherst Police say the 53-year-old Smith was drunk when he plowed into three people Sunday on Tonawanda Creek Road. Smith was charged with negligent homicide and driving while intoxicated.
