Customs employee charged with possessing child pornography
BUFFALO, N.Y. — A customs and border protection employee accused of having child pornography appeared in court Thursday.
Between January and March of this year, investigators say 42-year-old Steven Metz of Hamburg received a series of emails that contained images and videos of young children involved in sexual acts.
"According to the complaint, he's in possession and the complaint lays out that he was in communications with someone in Arizona that actually was the supplier of the child pornography? Yes," said U.S. Attorney William Hochul.
Agents searched Metz's home last month and say they found child porn on two of his computers.
He faces up to ten years in prison if convicted.
