TOWN OF TONAWANDA--

A memorial service was held Friday evening for Jocelyn Elberson, the woman who was struck and killed in a motorcycle accident last Sunday in Amherst.

Hundreds of Elberson's family and friends came to New Covenant Tabernacle in Tonawanda to pay their last respects. The service included hymns, poetry and personal reflections about the 25-year old Elberson.

Her family took the opportunity to stress the importance of not drinking and driving.
Elberson was one of two people killed when police say David Smith plowed into them with his motorcycle. Smith appeared in Amherst Town Court Thursday on charges of criminally negligent homicide, D-W-I, and unreasonable speed.
