Police investigate dogfighting at vacant house in Cheektowaga
CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — Police in Cheektowaga are investigating after they found evidence of dogfighting inside a house.
Police say the town's dog warden has been suspicious of a vacant house on Walden Avenue.
On Friday evening, police say they saw men around the house. Upon investigation, officers found evidence of dog fighting. They also found one dog outside the house, in a vehicle. A bird was also found in the house and both were taken to the SPCA.
There's no word yet on arrests or charges.
