Police release photos of home invasion suspects
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Police have released surveillance pictures in connection with a violent home invasion over the weekend. Investigators want to identify the people seen in the photos.

Police say up to three people entered a Longview Avenue home around 6:30 p.m. Saturday and attacked the resident, 96-year-old Levi Clayton. He suffered a broken jaw and other injuries and remains in fair condition at ECMC.

Police say the suspects took jewelry, cash and other items. Investigators believe they fled in a dark colored mini-van.

Mayor Byron Brown says detectives have several leads, but the public's help is still needed to bring the case to a close.

"There is no shortage of people who might know something or who might recognize something that step forward and say what they know," Brown said.

Parishioners at Friendship Baptist Church, at which Clayton is a deacon, are working on raising a reward to be given for information leading to an arrest in this case.
