Authorities are keeping members of the media about a quarter mile away from the crash scene on Bullis Road.

Kenneth Gliss, 66, was crossing the road in front of his house. Erie County Sheriff's investigators say 50 year old Keith Lengen, from the Town of Lockport, was traveling eastbound on Bullis Road, just east of Pound Road, in a tractor truck and hit Gliss. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Erie County Sheriff's office says its too early to know if there will be charges but it appears the driver just didn't see the victim.

"Real dark. The section of road just unfortunately right where he was crossing is almost dead center between two street lights and they're quite a ways apart. It's just a dark section right where he's crossing," said Captain Ron Kenyon of the Erie County Sheriff's Office.

Kenyon says the driver works for a business on Ransom Road in Lancaster and was driving his truck back to that location.
