Albright Knox celebrates 150 years
BUFFALO, N.Y. — An art gallery was founded in Buffalo 150 years ago. A century and a half later, the Albright Knox is one of Western New York's best known landmarks.
There have been all kinds of celebrations leading up to Tuesday's anniversary, such as a 3-D light show in October. There are also events scheduled all this week.
On Friday, the museum will unveil a new work that features the contributions of 150 Western New Yorkers.
Albright Knox is recognized as one of the world's leading collections of contemporary and modern art.
