Two-alarm fire on Plymouth Avenue

By: YNN Staff

Two-alarm fire on Plymouth Avenue
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Firefighters are investigating a two-alarm fire on the City's West Side.

It started just before 3 a.m. Thursday in a back cottage on Plymouth Avenue, between Vermont Avenue and Connecticut Street.

Firefighters say two people were able to get out. They were taken to ECMC with minor injuries.

Fighting the fire was a challenge. Fire commissioner Garnell Whitfield says a second alarm was called because the buildings are so close together, and they needed help to keep it from spreading.

Firefighters say the house is destroyed.

The Red Cross is helping the residents.
