Buffalo, N.Y. -- Former State Senator Antoine Thompson has a new job.
Thompson was appointed the executive director of the Buffalo Employment and Training Center by Mayor Byron Brown.

He made the announcement on his Facebook page.

Thompson has not worked in the public sector since losing his re-election bid to the state senate in 2010 to Senator Mark Grisanti.

The executive director position at the Buffalo Employment and Training Center was vacant for six months.
