Fire destroys Newfane house
NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. — A family is being assisted by the Red Cross after a fire destroyed their Niagara County home early Thursday morning.
Sheriff's deputies say firefighters responded to a house on Rathke Heights in the town of Newfane shortly after midnight Thursday morning.
No one who lived in the house was home at the time of the fire. No other injuries were reported.
The house is estimated to be a total loss.
No word yet on a cause It's now under investigation.
