JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Shop local. That's the message of the the Downtown Jamestown Development Corporation this holiday season.

To help draw people downtown, an indoor Winter Market was held at the Dr. Lillian Vitanza-Ney Renaissance Center Thursday.

Shoppers could find everything from locally grown produce and baked goods to custom calligraphy and other handmade crafts.

"Try it. If you've never shopped in a small shop before, challenge yourself this holiday season and come down, whether it is in downtown Jamestown or another small community," said Tiffani Conti, Downtown Jamestown Development Corporation.

The Winter Market is open every Thursday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
