Plans unveiled for Robert Moses Parkway

By: YNN Staff

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. --- State and city officials unveiled design plans for the southern portions of the Robert Moses Parkway Thursday.

Residents got a chance to look at the plans during an open house in Niagara Falls.

The Robert Moses Parkway connects drivers to and from Niagara Falls and plans are underway to renovate Robert Moses at the entrance to the Falls park. The final design should be finished next year.

"It looks a far cry from what it looked before, and it looks like its going to, it looks like it has the potential to be really nice again for this area," said Niagara Falls resident Nehemiah Burrell.

If all goes well, officials said construction could begin as early as spring 2013. The project is expected to cost nearly $20 million.
