Fredonia nursery to help with 'green' power push

By: Paul Lane

A Western New York nursery will help supply the state with a new, literally greener power source.
Researchers have perfected drawing energy from shrub willow, a perennial plant that's quick and easy to grow.
The federal government gave millions of dollars to the state to encourage the growth of the plant, which is being sold to energy producer Re-Energy to generate electricity.
Double A Willow in Fredonia is among the nurseries statewide selling the plant.
