Cattaraugus County man killed in logging accident

VILLENOVA, N.Y. — A Cattaraugus County man was killed in a logging accident.

Sheriff's deputies say 36-year-old Harvey Detweiler of South Dayton was cutting large pine trees in the Chautauqua County Town of Villenova Thursday afternoon when a partially rotted tree fell on him.

The tree hit Detweiler from behind and killed him.
