CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A tow truck operator is recovering after being injured while out on a call late Saturday night.

David Overstreet, 39, was responding to a call on Cable Road in the Town of Arkwright when his tow truck slid backwards while pulling a car from a ditch. Overstreet was hit by the truck and was pinned between the truck and the bank of the ditch.

Once he was extricated, Overstreet was taken to Brooks Hospital to be treated for unknown injuries.
