Suspect in custody after entertainment district shooting
BUFFALO, N.Y. — New Years Eve celebrations turned violent in Buffalo's entertainment district.
Police had the area near Franklin Street and Huron closed off around 3 a.m. Tuesday. Authorities say a fight broke out inside Social Nightclub and then shots were fired.
Nineteen-year-old Horace Miller was struck. He was taken to ECMC and is listed in serious condition.
Police say 21-year-old Chemere Barclay of Buffalo was arrested a short time after the shooting. He's charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
