Hawaii -- The White House announced early this morning that President Obama has signed the fiscal cliff compromise bill.
The president is vacationing in Hawaii, and used an autopen to sign the bill.
It's a machine that copies his signature.
The compromise raises taxes on wealthy Americans, while keep tax cuts in place for the middle class.
It also extends unemployment benefits, while delaying billions of dollars in domestic and military spending.
