Flu cases continue to climb statewide
he flu continues to spread across the state and is expected to continue spreading.
The state Health Department reports the number of influenza hospitalizations went up 55 percent last week from the week before. One child died.
The flu is now present in every county statewide. Twenty-two flu cases were confirmed in Western New York last week, while 59 have been so far this flu season.
Doctors urge everyone to get a flu shot.
