Sheriff's deputies say they've received several calls from residents in different towns and cities, including Busti, Bemus Point and Jamestown.

All said they heard a loud "boom" noise, similar to that of a cannon being shot off.

One viewer told us his neighbor's vase even fell off the shelf.

So far, there have been no official reports of earthquakes or unusual weather, and deputies say they're continuing to search where the boom came from.
