Sabres fans are ready for the start of the season. Fans were lined up Monday morning to get their mini-packs of tickets, and as YNN's Katie Morse tells us, the team is already reporting record-breaking sales.

"Getting my mini-pack, just like last year that I got. We've been coming for - well, let's say I've seen the French Connection," said Diana Voit of West Seneca.

With a mini-pack, fans can pick between four and 24 games they want to see.

The Sabres already announced they sold more than 31,000 tickets to current season ticket and mini-pack holders during a 24-hour presale period Sunday. It was a record-breaking single-day sale for the club, and fans lined up Monday said they were already having a hard time getting seats in the sections they wanted.

"I got the games I wanted to go to, it's just that I was a little disappointed that I couldn't get the Level One versus the Level Two," said James Bakewell of Wheatfield. "There's only one game they actually had the Level One, so I had to settle for Level Two. That's a little higher than I wanted, but I was just glad I got tickets!"

Fans say they've been waiting months for the lockout to end, and they're ready to see the game they've been waiting so long for.

"Frustrations with all these millionaires, billionaires fighting for something that the fans really want. I am glad they settled it," Voit said.

"We're all looking forward to the season to get it started. And you will have sellouts here. Every game. You watch," said Bakewell.

If you want to buy tickets for individual games, they go on sale at 10 a.m. Tuesday, so expect to see a lot more Sabres fans in line then.
