CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY, N.Y. — After a horrible season last year, area snowmobile businesses are relieved to have the trails open and are finally seeing some customers.

Bars like Tom's Tavern in Chautauqua County are reaping the benefits of this week's snowfall. County officials say the snowmobiling season has a huge economic impact.

And with the trails open and well groomed, the bars, hotels and restaurants will see a big boost in business.

"We have a lot of snow on the ground. You can see in the parking there's probably 12,15 sleds. So I come in and fill in, help work here because the impact the economic impact here is just huge," said Steve Latone, bartender.

Latone says he expects this weekend to be even busier.
