Sentencing day for Eric Chant
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY, N.Y. — A Chautauqua County man who admitted to raping a 12-year-old girl was sentenced Monday morning in Chautauqua County Court.
According to the District Attorney's Office, Erie Chant received 25 years in state prison, plus 20 years post release supervision.
Chant admitted to abducting a 12-year-old girl from her Jamestown home in 2011 and sexually assaulting her in the Town of Poland.
The sentencing was part of a plea deal he agreed to back in September.
