Funeral arrangements set for sledding accident victim

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. -- Funeral arrangements have been made for a young girl that was hit and killed by a car Friday night while sledding in Jamestown.

Viewing hours for Isabella Stanford, 5, will take place Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Powers, Present and Sixbey Funeral Home on East Fifth Street.

Stanford will be remembered Monday at 11 a.m. at Healing Word Ministries Church on West Third Street.

Jamestown Police said Stanford was sledding down a hill near Foote Avenue when she slid into oncoming traffic and was hit by a Jeep. She was pronounced dead at WCA hospital.

The driver of the vehicle has not been charged.
