Revised budget plan approved
BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Erie County Fiscal Stability Authority has approved a revised four-year financial plan for county government.
Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz says the revised plan identifies a nearly $9 million budget gap in 2013 and at least $8 million in gaps for 2014 to 2016.
It comes after the county legislature adopted the 2013 budget, removing $8.5 million in property tax revenue along with $200,000 in additional spending.
Options to close the gap include reducing spending on arts and cultural organizations and reducing road patrols for the Erie County Sheriff's Office.
