Chautauqua County calls for NY SAFE Act repeal
MAYVILLE, N.Y. — Chautauqua County has joined the ranks of other counties calling for a repeal of the New York SAFE Act.
Wednesday evening, legislators approved a motion opposing the gun control legislation, citing the infringement of Second Amendment rights, as well as the lack of public discussion before the law was passed.
Copies of the motion will be sent to Governor Cuomo and to local state legislators.
