Bitter Cold with more Lake Snow Today
A Shot of Area-Wide Snow into the Weekend
We'd to tell you that starting next Monday the 16th, Weather on the 9s will be moving to Weather on the 1s. That means your weather report will be on at 1 after, 11 after, 21 after etc. We'll still have all of your weather information when you need it, but it will be on the 1s.
Today will be bitterly cold and blustery with areas of lake snow. Lake snow along the Lake Ontario shore will quickly shift back out over the lake, whereas many of the same areas hit hard from lake snow yesterday will see another round today. Several more inches of accumulation is likely where heavier squalls persist, especially from the South Towns into Ski Country. Watch out for changeable conditions along with areas of blowing snow. Highs will only be around 20 with wind chills remaining in the teens and single digits.
We’ll continue to pick up areas of lake snow tonight into tomorrow morning. Highs tomorrow will be in the low to mid 20s. An area of low pressure will pass just to our south on Saturday with a shot of some area-wide snow. It won’t be quite as cold with highs well into the 20s to near 30. A reinforcing push of colder temps arrives on Sunday into early next week with more chances for lake snow.
